Volunteer Administrator
Our Volunteer Administrators are instrumental to all the work we do as an organisation. They support our employees across the board with a wide range of desk-based, administrative tasks.
What will you be doing?
- administrative tasks that may include email, telephone, scanning, typing, filing and data entry
- carrying out research when needed
- complying with our confidentiality policies and procedures
- providing knowledge all about Dogs Trust, especially your rehoming centre.
We’re looking for someone with:
- a helpful approach to a varied range of tasks
- strong interpersonal skills and an excellent telephone manner
- good attention to detail
- an organised approach to managing and prioritising workload
- the ability to work both in a close-knit team or alone
- a conscientious and can-do attitude
- a love of dogs and passion for their welfare
- good IT skills, specifically Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and Outlook and use of the internet for research would be beneficial but not essential.
What this role will offer you:
We will provide you with a main contact who will manage your tasks, answer any questions you might have and help you with the volunteer rota. You’ll also receive ongoing role-specific training, guidance and support as well as an opportunity to gain and develop new skills. We will provide a Dogs trust volunteer uniform, and will recognise the work you are kindly undertaking by enrolling you in our Volunteer Merits Scheme.
