Our love for dogs means we want the very best for all of them — always. Whether we’re finding them a loving home or offering their owner a helping hand, campaigning for change in the UK, or vaccinating dogs on the other side of the globe. We work tirelessly to make the world a better place for our furry friends.

Here’s what we’ve achieved in 2025, all thanks to your support.

Helping dogs and owners live better together

In 2025, our prevention services helped thousands of dogs and owners across the UK:

We supported 15,639 dogs through our Behaviour Support Line. With 97% of users saying they would recommend the service.
For dogs who needed extra help, 505 were supported with 1-to-1 training and 1,390 supported by our clinical animal behaviour team.

Through our Freedom service we fostered 403 belonging to people experiencing domestic abuse, helping 323 people find a path to safety.

Our Together Through Homelessess service supported over 700 dogs whose owners were at risk of, or experiencing, homelessness, including funding more than 1,800 vet treatments. We also helped 23 homelessness services to become dog friendly.

Helping dogs find forever homes

We cared for 11,374 dogs through our rehoming centres across the UK.
We found new homes for 10,023 dogs, including 479 Underdogs who had been with us for more than six months.
3,546 dogs were fostered by our amazing volunteer foster carers. 944 new foster carers joined our network.
Our vets gave 22,726 essential vaccinations to 12,180 dogs. And 3,650 veterinary procedures including dental care, neutering and other surgeries.

Creating a better world for dogs

Through our sister charity, Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS), we’re helping to improve the lives of dogs in some of the world’s most challenging environments. In 2025:

Every 14 seconds, an animal received help through the direct intervention of WVS, somewhere in the world.
2.2m dogs were vaccinated against rabies.
More than 158,000 animals were treated through veterinary care programmes and nearly 5,000 vets trained.
More than 43,000 animals were sterilised to manage numbers humanely.
Over 5m people were reached through education initiatives.
